ABOUT THE FOUNDER :
KATARINA RIMARCIKOVA
Founder& Director / Sustainable Fashion Innovation and Collaboration
Katarina has lived between London and Paris for last 18 years, working across Europe, both in the industry and education, and traveling consistently worldwide to broaden her knowledge and inform her creative practice. She has a background in Luxury Womenswear design and initiating fashion concepts and brand development. She has worked with luxury fashion houses such as Alexander McQueen and Gucci, completing another fashion degree at Central St.Martins before setting up her eponymous label in Paris in 2006 .Katarina started her academic journey in Paris as Professor of draping at Parsons Paris and later coordinating Fashion Department and its team, developing curriculum, curating fashion shows and exhibitions and creating collaborative projects between industry and the college. In London she has been Subject Leader in Fashion Arts at London College of Fashion, instigating cross-disciplinary projects between fashion, science and technology, and created and led the first cross- school MA Collaborative unit, uniting industry partners and MA students from the schools of Design and Technology, Media and Communication and the Fashion Business school. Her industry experience spans sourcing, buying, curation and generation of retail concepts and creative direction for events, fashion shows and store concepts. Katarina has collaborated with and consulted many brands and projects including EU innovation initiative WORTH; connecting manufactures and designers across Europe. In 2012 she became the Creative Director and CEO of the CarteBlanche atelier d'art & design, the first unique gallery /concept store in Central Europe to showcase transparent luxury design, working with artisans and manufacturers specialising in Haute Couture techniques and European textiles. Katarina is currently mentoring few start - ups an working on own personal projects.
